German Treffpunkt complete five years on 18th August 2019
Number of Registrations: 495 across batches.
Number of students in Germany and Europe for higher studies:75
Placed in German based firms or are in teaching profession: around 35
Goethe Institute conducted International exams 8 times exams in Hubli for A1, A2 and B1 levels. Hubli is considered as the potential exam centre for North Karnataka.
Native speakers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland visit our institute and have interaction, language workshops, outings and other language related activities for the students.
Ms Monika Brodard, Ms. Luise Müller, Mr.Thomas Bomm, Ms. Wibke, Mr. Jürgen Janning, Ms. Sarah Merkle Schneider, Mr. Heinz Siebelds visited us.
Organised German Seminar on Fairy tales by Mr. Jürgen Janning in February, 2017.
Around 50 participants including Karnataka University Professors, Students attended.
Info Seminars held on higher studies in Germany by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Film shows are arranged regularly in the campus.
Introduced German language in KLE school of Rayapur and Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in Hubli. Have plans to start German in another 2-3 schools in Hubli-Dharwad area in 2019-20.
As multipliers, we conducted 4 Seminars, Workshops in Bangalore and in Hubli.
Seven candidates are trained by German Treffpunkt to become German teachers.
Adopted Web 2.0 technology tools such as Kahoot, Quizlet and B. Socrative in the classes.
The teachers are undergoing a training called DLL- (German learning and teaching) to enhance the teaching techniques.
A student from Tumkur completed B1 with us and is attending her final year of engineering (Bachelor) in Germany under IGCHE program.
We wish to bring IGCHE (https://www.igche.de/) programme to KLE University.
MoUs between German Universities and KLE planned.
On the eve of completion of our five years, we plan to organize German Festival in the campus.
Summer course for school children is being planned in summer vacation.
